Cardinals sign former Blue Jays right-handed pitcher
The St Louis Cardinals announced that they have reached an agreement with former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Sem Robberse on a new deal.
The Cardinals announced last week that Robberse ended up electing free agency last week after spending the last few seasons in St Louis.

Robberse decided to elect free agency but turned around a reach an agreement with the Cardinals just a few days later on a minor league deal.
The Cardinals announced that they also signed right handed pitcher Scott Blewett to a minor league deal the same day.

Robberse was signed to a minor league deal by the Blue Jays back in 2019 and would go on to pitcher in their minor league system for a few years up until 2023.
In 2023, the Blue Jays decided to trade Robberse along with Adam Kloffenstein in exchange for right handed pitcher Jordan Hicks.
Robberse was still yet to see any time in the majors as he spent the 2025 season in Triple-A with the Memphis Redbirds in which he finished with a 7.36 ERA in 14.2 innings pitched with a 1-1 record.
Over the last couple of seasons, Robberse has dealt with a lot of injury problems which has resulted in so little playing time but despite some rough outings last season, the Cardinals seem prepared to give him another shot.
