Contract update between Buck Martinez and the Blue Jays announced

Baseball fans all over Canada have tuned in to Sportsnet to listen to Buck Martinez and Dan Shulman broadcast on the Toronto Blue Jays for years, and the network wants to keep that tradition going by keeping Martinez for another year.
Martinez and Schulmanbroadcasted the World Series for nearly half the country who tuned in to support the Blue Jays.
Sportsnet hopes to keep Martinez for one more year with Blue Jays.
Adam Laskaris of the Daily Hive reported on Sportsnet's desire to keep Martinez on for at least one more season.
This comes for a good reason since the Shulman, Martinez duo was one of the best in baseball this season and viewership for the Blue Jays has never been higher.
Martinez's voice and fun stories are intertwined with the Blue Jays, and it would certainly hurt the broadcast if he were to leave.
"Sportsnet confirmed to Offside that discussions are ongoing to bring back Martinez for another season, following a report from Toronto Star contributor Jonah Sigel. Martinez was sidelined from May until August while undergoing cancer treatments after originally receiving a diagnosis in 2022, which kept him off the mic for nearly a year. And while the health scares could be enough to keep most people away from their jobs, it seems to have had the opposite effect for Martinez."-Laskaris
This season was probably the most special of them all, having the chance to broadcast the World Series with half of Canada listening, is definitely a fulfilling factor for Martinez to continue his legacy.

Blue Jays fans should expect to see and hear Martinez next season and hopefully many more following that. Blue Jays games wouldn't be the same without him.
