Contract update for Max Scherzer
Scherzer has made it clear he has no plan on retiring even though he is coming off the worst season of his career.
If it wasn't for his incredible performance during the Blue Jays playoff run, it would have been very hard for Scherzer to land a new contract but due to how well he played, he will certainly find a new deal.
Most projections expect Scherzer to land a deal worth between $10-15 million on a one year contract.

After the Dylan Cease signing, the Blue Jays will have to look at trading away a pitcher such as Jose Berrios to make room for Scherzer's return.
The Blue Jays just recently signed Dylan Cease to shore up their 2026 rotation, so to find a fit for Scherzer on next year's club, there will need to be some additional moving parts. -Picklesimer
If the Blue Jays don't bring back Scherzer, he still has quite a bit of attention from other teams.
