Former beloved Blue Jay Kevin Pillar gets sentimental with fans in Toronto
Former Toronto Blue Jays legend https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/p/pillake01.shtml threw out the first pitcher at the Rogers Centre yesterday and had a sentimental message to fans after his warm welcome back.
Sportsnet announced that Pillar would be part of their broadcast crew as an on-field reporter for the playoffs along side Hazel Mae and Caleb Joseph.

After the game, Pillar took to social media to say thank you to Blue Jays fans for changing his life and stating that he will never be able to repay them for all them have done for him, adding that it was a top 10 moment of his life.

Pillar also spoke on Trey Yesavage's performance which seems to be the main topic of discussion over the last 24 hours stating that he has never seen a performance quite like what he saw yesterday.
I'm still kind of in awe of what I witness today. 22 years old. 3 major starts. ALDS. New York Yankees. Pitched in A ball this year. One of the greatest pitching performance I think I have ever seen in person. Circumstance robbed us of and all the great performance.
Safe to say that Toronto will always be like home for Pillar.
