Former Toronto Blue Jays left handed pitcher Zach Logue has announced he just signed a deal in the Korean Baseball Organization.
While the Blue Jays decided to bring in a pitcher from the KBO in Cody Ponce this off-season, Logue has decided to take another shot overseas in hope of returning to the MLB one day.
Zach Logue signs with the Doosan Bears
Logue struggled during his time in the MLB and decided to go overseas last season where he thrived and there were rumors that he was trying to return to the MLB this season but ultimately decided to sign another one year deal.
The Doosan Bears have agreed to a one year deal worth $1.1 million for the 2026 season as he will look to build off of last year and hopefully land a new deal in the MLB for 2027.
Left-hander Zach Logue and the Doosan Bears are in agreement on a one-year, $1.1 million contract, a source tells ESPN. Logue, who spent parts of three seasons in MLB, explored returning next year before re-signing with Doosan, where he thrived in his first KBO season in 2025.
Logue spent three years in the MLB but was unable to find himself a permanent spot as he finished with a career 7.20 ERA in 19 games between 2022 and 2024 which resulted in him leaving the MLB.
In his first season in the KBO with the Bears, Logue had an incredible season as he finished with a 2.81 ERA and 10-8 record in a total of 30 games with 156 strikeouts in 176 inning pitched.
If Logue is able to build off of last season and improve even more in 2026 for the Bears, there is a good chance he is able to land himself a major league deal next off-season.
