Former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Dan Plesac was recently on Sportsnet 590 in which he spoke of a new pitcher the team should look to sign.
The Blue Jays have signed a long list of pitchers so far this off-season but have not made any big additions in any other department but it looks like they are still looking at other options for their bullpen.
Dan Plesac wants the team to sign Pete Faribanks
Toronto has been linked to former Tampa Bay Rays closer Pete Fairbanks quite a bit this off-season and now that he is the best reliever still available, many believe he is the best option left for the Blue Jays.
During the interview, Plesac stated that Fairbanks would be a great fit for the Blue Jays since he knows how to close out games clearly pointing out that he would be a great replacement for Jeff Hoffman.
"Pete Fairbanks has the pedigree: he's closed games, he's pitched in the AL East. He makes the most sense."

After the Blue Jays missed out on Edwin Diaz and Robert Suarez, Plesac believes that Fairbanks is the next best option in terms of closers that are available this off-season.
«I think Fairbanks probably has the most upside of the guys remaining out there I think right now if you are the Blue Jays you say 'okay, what can we do to help this bullpen?' The two best guys that were out there, Suárez and Diaz, they're (now) off the board in my opinion, Pete Fairbanks has the pedigree because he has closed games, he has pitched in the AL East, and to me he makes the most sense,» -Plesac
Fairbanks had a 2.83 ERA in 61 games last season with a total of 27 saves for the Rays to go along with a 4-5 record which is great across the board and why Plesac believes he would be a great fit.
Some believe that due to Fairbanks circulation issue in his hands in cold weather, he could be a risk for the Blue Jays but that would only start to be a problem in October.
