Former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher let go by the Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves announced that they have decided to part ways with former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Josh Walker as he has been designated for assignment.
Back in mid-November, the Braves announced that they claimed Walker off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles.
Braves designate Josh Walker for assignment
The Braves decided to claim right handed pitcher Osvaldo Bido off waivers from the Athletics and Anthony Molina from the Colorado Rockies which forced them into a 40 man roster issue.
To clear up some space on their roster, the Braves decided to DFA Walker after less than a month with the team and without throwing a single pitch for them.

Walker will now be placed on waivers and if he ends up clearing the Braves might be able to assignment him to their minor league team but there is a chance that another team ends up scooping him up.
There is also a chance that Walker refuses the assignment and decides to re-enter free agency to look for a new deal since there is still plenty of time before the start of Spring Training.
Despite seeing time with a total of three teams last season, Walker ended up only pitching in the majors for the Blue Jays where he finished with a 7.20 ERA in 3 games before being traded to the Philadelphia Phillies.
Walker has had a rough stretch over the last year but he might be able to still find himself a new minor league deal with a Spring Training invitation if he ends up electing free agency.
