George Springer is one of the premier veterans on the Toronto Blue Jays roster, and today, he celebrates 10 years of service in Major League Baseball.

Overall, Springer started his career with the Houston Astros, whom he played with until 2020, according to Baseball Reference. It was here where he was able to win a World Series and show the world just how talented he truly is. Since 2021, he has been with the Toronto Blue Jays, and he has had himself a nice start to the season. As we reported this weekend, Springer has scored two home runs to start the season. Both home runs came in the first two games of the year.
In a tweet from the Toronto Blue Jays today, it was noted that today marks Springer's 10th official year of service in Major League Baseball. Overall, this is a massive achievement that speaks to his longevity. You really cannot help but be excited for him.
"A decade of excellence. Congrats to George on reaching 10 years of Major League service!"
What makes this all that more special is the fact that Springer will get to celebrate his accomplishment while playing against his old team. The Blue Jays are in the midst of a three-game series with the Astros, in Houston. They lost the first game in a blowout, 10-0. It was a horrible game, but the Blue Jays have a chance of bouncing back.
If you want to watch the game between the Blue Jays and the Astros, you will be able to do so right now. The game started at 8:10 PM Eastern Standard Time. For fans who are out in Canada, the game can be viewed on Sportsnet. Also, you can stay tuned to Blue Jays Insider for the latest news and updates from around the baseball world.
