Bo Bichette (sprained left PCL) is currently getting a second opinion with a specialist in Dallas - Dr. Dan Cooper. Blue Jays are hopeful that will help formulate a timeline for Bichette going forward.
Bichette will meet up with the Blue Jays in Tampa in the coming days.
Bichette was apparently kept of his leg all of last week and now with the team going for a second opinion and the beginning of his rehab process being still far away, it looks like Bichette not make it back in time.
"Given that Bichette has now missed eight games and, according to the team, was kept off the leg all of last week to help heal the injury, it's difficult to envision him returning to the lineup by the end of the regular season, which now has just 12 games remaining." -Longley
If Toronto goes deep into the playoffs, there is a slight chance that Bichette is able to re-join the lineup but the chances are still slim since they still don't know when he will start his rehab.
The Blue Jays losing Bichette right now is the worse case possible as the playoffs are right around the corner and Bichette has arguably been one of if not there best players this season.
Hopefully this second opinion will give the team some better news but it certainly looks bad as of right now.
