The Toronto Blue Jays have a serious problem in their bullpen which closer Jeff Hoffman which manager John Schneider spoke on yesterday after the loss.
John Schneider speaks on Jeff Hoffman's closer role
The Blue Jays were in a tight game with the Brewers late yesterday after Kevin Gausman put together a great performance but that all fell apart once Hoffman came in as he gave up back to back homeruns.
Jeff Hoffman entered a 1-1 game in the ninth inning vs. Milwaukee today:
Home run Home run Ground out Walk Ground out RBI double
His ERA is now at 5.11 in 59 appearances this season
After the game, Schneider stated that he still has faith in Hoffman who has 29 saves this season but admitted that him along with other relief pitchers need to find the strike zone and do a better job of locating.
Asked Schneider about Hoffman's role:
«He's got 29 saves. He's shown that he can do it. We've got to figure out, not just him but multiple guys, their strike throwing and locating. We're going to make the best decision for everyone to try to win every single night.» #BlueJays
