John Schneider gives details on Bo Bichette's injury
Schneider just spoke to the media regarding Bichette's injury stating that the original X-ray came back negative as it did not pick up the injury against the New York Yankees.
The Blue Jays then decided to have him take an MRI which came back with a left knee sprain.
More on Bo Bichette:
John Schneider doesn't have a timeline right now, but Bichette won't be doing anything this week, only treatment.
The injury showed on an MRI after Bichette more soreness the day after his slide in New York. #BlueJays
According to Schneider, Bichette will be getting the entire week off from everything and then they will see how he feels and take it from there.
Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Bo Bichette had an MRI yesterday that revealed the sprain. Bichette had soreness on the shin and «a little bit» in the knee Sunday and again Monday, leading to MRI.
Bichette will rest the knee this week before next steps are decided.
This is a terrible setback for the Blue Jays who thought they finally got away with a close call when it came to Bichette's injury but it looks like it was worse than expected.
Bichette could return as early as next Wednesday but with these comments from Schneider, it looks like he might miss the next couple of weeks.
