Toronto Blue Jays legend and coach Don Mattingly is final in his first World Series after decades in the MLB and looks like he might end up retiring after this.
Don Mattingly might look to retire at the end of the World Series
During his 12 year career which was spent with the New York Yankees, Mattingly was an AL MVP in 1985 while also making 6 all-star appearances and winning 9 Gold Glove awards but never made it to the World Series.

"Friends suggest they believe retirement is a possibility for Mattingly, the surprise Yankees superstar of the 1980s and early 1990s who fashioned a wonderful 22-year managing and coaching career with the Yankees, Dodgers, Marlins and Jays and reached his first World Series with Toronto 44 years after breaking in with the Bombers." -Heyman
Mattingly was also asked if he would like to manager once again after he spent time as the manager for the Dodgers and Miami Marlins to which he responded quite humbly and stated he is not too sure what is next at this point.
"Mattingly, 64, when asked by The Post if he might want to manage again, responded: 'At this point in my life and my career, it's kind of like, at the end of it. You're like, what's next, right? Or is there anything next?' -Mattingly
If Mattingly does decide to call it a career, it has been a long and successful one to say the least.
The Blue Jays have the chance this year to send off Mattingly in the best way possibly, a World Series win if they can get back into this series against the Dodgers.
