The Atlanta Braves announced that they have signed Toronto BLue Jays pitcher Elieser Hernandez to a minor league deal.
Hernandez was part of many Blue Jays players that ended up electing free agency at the end of this season but he did not spend much time as a free agent as he has already signed.

The Blue Jays acquired Hernandez last August as they signed him to a minor league deal where he spent time with the Florida Complex League Blue Jays and the Buffalo Bisons.
In Buffalo, Hernandez finished with a 7.91 ERA in 19.1 innings pitched and an 0-3 record while striking out a total of 15 batters.
Up until this past season, Hernandez had spent the last 6 years bouncing around the MLB, playing for the Miami Marlins, Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers but was unable to get called up to the MLB when he arrived in Toronto.
Hernandez is now 30 years old and does have some MLB experience which is why there is a chance that he could work his way back into a bullpen role for the Braves but will have to perform in Triple-A if he wants to get called up.
As the Braves and former Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos continue to make multiple moves, Ross Atkins continues to hold off on any big signings as the Blue Jays have only signed one player to a minor league deal since the start of the off-season.
