The Milwaukee Brewers ended up designating Payamps for assignment near the end of the season and the Braves claimed him off waivers for the last week of the season and were clearly impressed with him, enough to bring him back next year.
Payamps spent half a season in Toronto back in 2021 where he finished with a 2.70 ERA in 30 innings pitched to go along with a 0-2 record and 22 strikeouts.
The Blue Jays then decided to trade Payamps to the Kansas City Royals in exchange for cash that July where he went on to finish the season.
After bouncing around in 2025, Payamps has already found himself a new home for the 2026 season as he is returning to Atlanta for his second stint with the team.
