Castro has been bouncing around the minors for the last two years with his last MLB game coming in 2023 with the Phillies.
Last season, Castro hit 19 home runs and 82 RBIs in Triple-a with a .235 batting average and .324 on base percentage.
This seems to be a great minor league signing by Ross Atkins in hopes of continuing to improve the Blue Jays farm system.
With the numbers, the Castro put up in the minors last year. It will be interesting to see if he gets a shot at the Blue Jays major league club this year.
While the Blue Jays have yet to make a big major league signing or trade, they seem to finally have started to get the ball rolling with their off-season signings.
The big question now will be who will be their first major league signing of the off-season as there is multiple great options, such as Kyle Tucker and Kyle Schwarber.
