The Toronto Blue Jays announced yesterday that pitcher Max Scherzer has continued to progress towards returning to lineup and will be making another start on Wednesday.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider announced yesterday that Scherzer is feeling a little sore from his outing which is normal but his thumb is in good shape and they will have him making his second rehab start on Wednesday for the Bisons.

«He came out of it feeling how he expected to. A little bit of normal [general] fatigue with the most pitches he's thrown in a game since Spring Training.»

Scherzer also stated after his first game that it felt good to be back facing real batters and seems to be pleased with how things are going so far with his return to the mound.
"Got my work in," Scherzer told reporters in Buffalo after the game. "You get back out there and be in a real game. it's nice to face somebody else and be in a real game." -Scherzer
Hopefully this will be Scherzer's last start in the minors before he returns to the Blue Jays starting rotation.
