Berrios injury came back with no structural damage which the Blue Jays were happy about but they announced right after that he would be getting a second opinion on the matter before they decided to next step.
First MRI revealed no structural damage in Jose Berrios' elbow, said Blue Jays manager John Schneider. Berrios is getting a second opinion to confirm that diagnosis before next steps are set.
GM Ross Atkins announced this afternoon that Berrios' second opinion came back with no structural damage on his elbow again but he will likely not be available for the ALDS as he has yet to begin throwing.
Follow-up for Jose Berrios showed no structural damage in elbow, but he won't be a factor in ALDS as he's still not throwing. Possible he's ready later in the playoffs.

Chris Bassitt, meanwhile, progressing well and should be available for ALDS.
Since Berrios is still out, the Blue Jays will have to look at other options for their bullpen as they finalize the ALDS roster.
The good news is that the Blue Jays have a lot of options when it comes to pitchers and should be able to replace Berrios with no problem.
