Blue Jays announce roster move as Jonatan Clase has been sent back to the minors
The Blue Jays brought Clase up yesterday for the early afternoon game which did not go according to plan as the Blue Jays lost 11-2 and Clase went 0 for 4 at the plate with 1 strikeouts.
After the second game which was also a loss, the Blue Jays announced that Clase was being sent back down as the 27th man rule was only good for that day but the surprise came from fans believing that they would send someone else down instead.
Blue Jays return Jonatan Clase to triple-A Buffalo after he served as 27th man in doubleheader. Another roster move looms Tuesday when Daulton Varsho is set to return from IL.
At least this will give Clase some time to continue to improve his game as he is still young but with his bat speed, he can clearly be a solid major league hitter one day if he continues to improve.
The Blue Jays have another big decision coming up on Tuesday as Daulton Varsho is set to return to the lineup.
