The Toronto Blue Jays had Bo Bichette start at second base today but after being removed late in the game, fans began to worry about his knee.

GM Ross Atkins told reporters today that the team decided to include Bichette in the team's roster since they felt that it would give them the best chance at winning the World Series.

Injury update on Bo Bichette

In the bottom of the 6th inning, the Blue Jays decided to call it a night for Bichette after a solid single as he was subbed out for Isiah Kiner-Falefa with the game tied at 2-2.
Isiah Kiner-Falefa was brought in to pinch-run for Bo Bichette in the sixth.
Bichette was very cautious when running during game 1 and it looks like the Blue Jays decided to pull him early as they were being careful and did not see the point in aggravating his knee when he would likely only have one more at bat in the game.
Bo Bichette works a leadoff walk to open B6 and Blue Jays pinch-run for him with IKF, a move that precedes an Alejandro Kirk single to right side.

Bichette's running was very cautious, but he reached twice in three PAs and made a great defensive play to save a run in the third.
During the 3rd inning, Bichette made an incredible play at second base in which he winced after the play which had fans worried but he was able to tough it out for another few innings.
Bo Bichette, playing second base for the first time since 2019, saves a run by stealing a hit from Teoscar Hernandez T3
The Blue Jays former shortstop is clearly battling through pain but it looks like he should be able to play tomorrow despite leaving game 1 early.
The Blue Jays take on the Dodgers tomorrow night at 8 PM ET as they look to take a 2-0 lead in the World Series.
