The Toronto Blue Jays loss 3-1 to the Seattle Mariners last night and after the game, Kevin Gausman did not sugar coat what he thought of his performance.
Kevin Gausman calls out his own performance
In game 1, Gausman ended up pitching 5.2 innings while striking out a total of 5 batters while only giving up 3 hits and 2 earned runs but it unfortunately was not enough to get the win.
After the game, Gausman told reporters that the loss was his fault as he needs to be better than that if they want to win.
"This one's on me."

Gausman added that he thought he was doing well until he gave up a homerun to Cal Raleigh and a walk after that which is why he thinks the loss is his fault.
Kevin Gausman, self-critical after the #BlueJays' loss that I don't think can be tagged to him:
"I gave up a home run and a walk. Up to that point, I'd been throwing the ball really well and had the game right there. This one's on me.»
While Gausman did give up a few big hits, the loss was far from his fault as the Blue Jays only managed to get a two hits in the entire game in which one of them came in the first inning.
The
Blue Jays will need a lot more from their offense if they plan on tying up the series this afternoon.
