Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Anthony Santander return date finally announced
Toronto Blue Jays slugger Anthony Santander is still dealing with his injury but it looks a return time frame is finally confirmed.
The last update received on Santander was that he had yet to start swinging a bat a couple weeks ago and it looks like things have yet to change which mean he will not be back anytime soon.

The Blue Jays have been slowly waiting for Anthony Santander to return from injury but the slugger has yet to begin baseball activities yet which is why he will not be back this month.
According to Keegan Matheson, Santander is not expected to be back in the lineup until August even though the team announced that they were expecting him back before the All-Star break which has now come and gone.
«He's still working his way back from a shoulder surgery, and it's likely we don't see him until some point in August, but who will Santander be when he's back? Again, this is all about the ceiling for the Blue Jays.» -Matheson
Whenever Santander does return from his injury, he will definitely have a lot of pressure to perform due to how poorly he has played so far this season despite signing a massive 5 year contract last off-season.
So far this season Santander has 6 homeruns and 18 RBIs in 50 games with a .179 batting average which is far from what the Blue Jays expected when they signed him in the off-season.
So far this campaign, he has slashed .179/.273/.304 with six home runs and 18 RBI in 50 games played. Santander is a player who has relied on his power to be successful, and there was a concern coming in that if the power numbers dropped, so would his value. -Ziegler
The Blue Jays will need a lot more out of Santander once he returns because if they want to make a real push for the World Series, they need him to start producing at the plate.
Hopefully this injury is what was holding him back earlier this season and when he returns from injury he will be more like the player he was in Baltimore last season.
