The Toronto Blue Jays started off the season with three prospects in Baseball America'stop 100 list, Arjun Nimmala, Trey Yesavage and Ricky Tiedemann but Nimmala recent made a serious jump up on the list this week.
The Blue Jays have taken a lot of heat for their week far system over the last few seasons but that does not mean they don't have some seriously good young players in their organization.
Blue Jays prospect Arjun Nimmala jumps up on Baseball America's top 100 list
The Blue Jays have a few solid prospect but none seem to be as promising as
Nimmala as even all-star Francisco Lindor has spoken very highly in the past of the young Blue Jays shortstop.
To start the 2025 season, Nimmala was ranked in the 90's on Baseball America top 100 list but after the month of May, he put up great numbers and jumped into 58th place and now sits at 41st.
Nimmala has been flying up their Top 100 list this season, starting this season around the 90s, but jumping to 58th in their May update, and now up to 41st. -Delnaey
Nimmala started off the season in High-A with the Vancouver Canadians and has been on fire as he currently has 9 homeruns, 26 RBIs, a .286 batting average and .510 on base percentage.
It makes sense, as the shortstop is having a terrific season with the High-A Vancouver Canadians, slashing .286/.372/.510 for a 140 wRC+. His nine home runs are tied for the third-most on the team, alongside Jace Bohrofen, Orelvis Martinez, and Yohendrick Pinango. -Delaney
Nimmala is only 19 years old but with how he is playing he should be considered for a promotion to Double-A with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats regardless of his age.
The real question on all fans minds is when they will be able to finally see Nimmala at the Rogers Centre but that will likely not be for at least one if not two more years even with how he has been playing.
