The Toronto Blue Jays are looking to make a few big changes to their roster for next season and it looks like beloved outfielder Nathan Lukes could be on his way out.

The Blue Jays have been linked to the top free agent available in Kyle Tucker this off-season and with their crowded outfield, they will need to make some room.

Blue Jays could look to trade away Nathan Lukes

Lukes became quite the fan favorite this past season after finally cracking an Opening Day roster, he went onto finally making a real difference for the Blue Jays this season.
As Toronto looks to improve their outfield this winter with hopefully either Tucker or Cody Bellinger, it looks like Lukes would make the most sense to trade away.
For as much as it would sting, Toronto would have to open up a spot for Tucker or Bellinger, and coming off an extremely impressive first full season, Nathan Lukes could make the most sense to deal away. -Brauner

Trading away Lukes would not only free up some space in the outfield but would also allow the Blue Jays to possibly acquire some much needed pitching depth.
Dealing Lukes away for some serious pitching depth could prove to be the best case for all involved. -Brauner

While Lukes numbers on offense are not outstanding, he still managed to finish the season with 12 home runs and 65 RBIs in 135 games to go along with a .255 batting average which is solid for his first full season in the MLB.
If Toronto does decide to trade Lukes, they should be able to able to go and get a decent return in exchange for him due to how he played this past the season and his role in the playoffs.
Fans will surely miss Lukes if he does end up getting moved as he has grown in to a big part of this team but if Ross Atkins is able too replace him with either Tucker or Bellinger, they will surely get over it.
