The majority of the U.S. media has disrespected the Toronto Blue Jays prior to the ALDS against the New York Yankees, with most saying the Yankees will win despite being the lower seed in the postseason.

The media believed the Blue Jays were missing too many pieces ahead of the series.

Toronto Blue Jays already an after thought for ALDS against Yankees.

Trevor Beggs of the Daily Hive spoke on the dismissive nature the U.S. media has had for the Blue Jays.
"On MLB.com, about two-thirds of their writers said that the Yankees will prevail against the Blue Jays, despite being the lower seed. They highlighted Bo Bichette's absence and the emergence of New York pitcher Camerom Schlittler as factors that could be the difference in the series."-Beggs

It's an unjustified diagnosis considering the Blue Jays have beaten the Yankees a staggering eight out of thirteen games they have played each other this season.
Furthermore 6 out of 7 home games for the Blue Jays against the Yankees saw the Blue Jay victorious, and they have home field advantage with now 2 wins in the first two games of the series.
"A panel of five CBS Sports writers all unanimously picked the Yankees to beat the Jays, although all of their writers said the series would go to a decisive Game 5.
I question the Blue Jays' ability to get through this round with their pitching issues,» CBS Sports writer Julian McWilliams wrote. «They lack a true ace, and I believe the Yankees will slug enough to get them through and onto the ALCS.»-Beggs

The Toronto Blue Jays dominated the Yankees in game 1 and 2, while there is still plenty of baseball left to play many still believe in New York coming out on top.
The Blue Jays are definitely already making the masses eat their words with now 3 home games guaranteed this series, the Blue Jays will be very hard to beat especially since they are now up 2-0 in the series headed to New York.
