The Toronto Blue Jays are not only building a deep roster through free agency and trading, but their prospect development is starting to look really solid too, with several players moving through the ranks and developing well like Jojo Parker, Arjun Nimmala, Johnny King, Gage Stanifer and most obviously Trey Yesavage.

The Blue Jays can start to implement these players in higher levels sooner rather than later.

Blue Jays prospects starting to make big moves.

Ryley Delaney of Blue Jays Nation gave a report on some of the top Blue Jays prospects right now, and where they can end up in the near future. Starting with the best prospect in the system Trey Yesavage.
Baseball America's Top 10 @BlueJays
prospects are out, with five of the top six having suited up in Dunedin in the last two seasons
"Yesavage went on to become one of the most important pitchers during the Blue Jays' push for a World Series, as he posted a 3.58 ERA and 3.61 FIP in 27.2 innings pitched. Two of those starts were historic, and they'll go down as all-time best starts for a rookie pitcher. "-Delaney

Yesavage will look to become a permanent starter with the team next season. Next ranked 2nd and 3rd but can be interchangeable are Nimmala and Parker. Nimmala's been hurt, but performed well in the first half of his season. Parker is arguably the best hitting prospect the Blue Jays have, and will look to make his professional debut soon.
Next is the starting two pitchers King and Stanifer.
"Two starters who had breakout years follow their first-round picks. Johnny King ranks fourth, and the left-handed pitcher authored a 2.48 ERA and 3.18 FIP in 61.2 innings pitched with a 39.5 K% and 13.9 BB%. It was the 19-year-old's first professional season. Ranked fifth is Gage Stanifer, who posted a 2.86 ERA and 2.70 FIP in 110 innings pitched, along with a 35.5 K% and 12.8 BB%."-Delaney

Both are playing well enough to make big jumps next season, and find their way into triple-A within a few years. The Blue Jays have a good balance of hitting and pitching prospects performing well. And homegrown talent is always going to be better than trying to trade for it. It means the development team is reliable and consistent, and more solid prospects can be expected in the future.
