The Toronto Blue Jays starting rotation has been by far their biggest problem lately and Kevin Gausman has been a big part of that problem in the month of June.
Blue Jays pitcher Kevin Gausman has been brutal this month
Gausman was on the mound yesterday against the Diamondbacks looking to get the Blue Jays the sweep but he fell quite short giving up 7 earned runs in 4.1 innings before being pulled from the game in a 9-5 loss.

Gausman spoke to the media after the loss stating that he feels like he let the team down as everyone was playing great in their series against the Diamondbacks and he went out and pitched terribly.
«I feel like everybody kind of did their job this series and I just didn't,» Gausman said. «We're playing really good right now and going for a sweep today and I go out there and do that. So I'm pretty frustrated.» -Gausman
June has been a brutal month for Gausman as he has given up a total of 17 earned runs in 4 starts so far this month but he also added in the interview that he knows he has been struggling on the mound lately.
«June's been really ugly for me and so I need to take a deep look and figure some things out and get better. I feel like if I can get back to who I am, I think that's the next step for this team and I hope to be a big part of it and right now I feel like I'm not doing my end,» -Gausman
As the Blue Jays approach the trade deadline, Gausman needs to step up his game because with all the issues their starting rotation currently has, they need to be able to rely on him when he is on the mound.
If Gausman continues to struggle, it might force the Blue Jays to look into possibly moving him at the deadline.
