The New York Yankees had a chance to make baseball history by coming back from a 3-0 series lead
The Yankees went into game 4 of the World Series down 3-0 which everyone thought would end up in a sweep by the Dodgers but they have looked incredible in game 4 and and part of game 5 before they blew the lead.

The Yankees had an incredible lead in game 5 as they were up early 5-0 and after a few terrible mistake including a sloppy play by captain Aaron Judge and another by Gerrit Cole, they let the Dodgers get back into the game.
In the fourth inning, captain Aaron Judge defensive abilities where on full display as he robbed Dodgers Freddie Freeman of a homerun with an incredible catch showing that there has been a turning point in this series.
I can't believe Judge dropped a routine fly ball. I cant believe Anthony Volpe threw a dirt ball to third base. I can't believe Cole didnt cover 1st base. The Yankees are the new poster boys for futility. What a mighty fall from grace. From powerhouse to laughing stock.
Despite Giancarlo Stanton making Yankees history as the only Yankee player to ever hit 7 homeruns in the playoffs, he was been on fire in the playoffs and World Series but it simply was not enough
Giancarlo Stanton just hit a mammoth home run to the opposite field and admired it. He took the first pitch Ryan Brasier threw and crushed it. That's the Yankees' third home run of the night, and Stanton's seventh of the playoffs. No Yankee has ever hit as many in one postseason.

The Yankees had a chance to re-write history after they are the only team to give up a 3-0 lead in the MLB playoffs in which they did in 2004 when the Boston Red Sox broke the curse of the Great Bambino.
